Overview of the day:
- Interview days begin at 8:00AM sharp with presentations covering information about LECOM, LECOM at Seton Hill specifically, the curriculum, the learning pathways, and financial aid.
- Candidates are then split into groups of 6-8 people for a group interview with 2 faculty and/or administration members and participate in a demonstration of a PBL session with 1 faculty member.
- You will then have an opportunity to meet with LECOM students while you enjoy a complimentary lunch and tour of the campus.
- The day concludes by 2:30PM after the tour.
Travel to Greensburg:
Greensburg is served primarily by Pittsburgh International Airport, which is approximately a 1-hour drive. Flights from a small number of cities through Spirit Airlines are also available at the Arnold Palmer Regional Airport in Latrobe, about 20 minutes from Greensburg.
Greensburg is also served by several interstate highway systems and is a convenient drive from many neighboring states.
Several car rental companies are available at Pittsburgh International Airport including Alamo, Avis, Budget, Enterprise, and Hertz. Most rental companies have a minimum age of 21 to rent a car, with an extra fee for those between the ages of 21 and 24. SuperShuttle is a shared-ride shuttle that can be booked online or at the airport. Relying on Uber or Lyft is not recommended because these services are not as prevalent outside of Pittsburgh.

Application documents:
Please make certain all supporting documents (letters of recommendation, MCAT scores, etc.) have been submitted prior to the date of the interview. We will accept letters through AACOMAS, Interfolio, email, and the U.S. Postal Service. Recommendation letters must be sent by the recommender, not the candidate.
Required letters and prerequisite course credits must be entered manually by admissions staff on the applicant portal. Please do not be concerned if they are not marked as complete. It may take until the week of your interview for all documents to be updated. You will be able to check for any missing requirements on the day of your interview.
You do not need to bring anything with you to the interview, but questions, a pen, and pad of paper are highly recommended!
Preparing for the interview:
The LECOM at Seton Hill campus exclusively features the Problem Based Learning Pathway (PBL), for the preclinical curriculum. Please review the description of the PBL pathway located on our website. However, because LECOM at Seton Hill is an extension of the Erie campus, all pathways offered at both campuses are an option. At the end of the interview, you will be asked to rank order your preference for the learning pathways. To learn more about all available pathways, we encourage you to visit our web site.
Group interviews are a little different from one-on-one interviews. It’s recommended you do a little research on how to prepare for a group interview.
It should go without saying that being on time is crucial. It is recommended you are about 10 minutes early to ensure you can find the room and settle in, use the restroom, etc. so that it won’t interfere with the start of the day. The LECOM parking lot is about a 5-7 minute walk from the buildings, so plan that into your morning travels.
Ultimately, we want to know who you are so being relaxed and yourself, though still professional, is the best way to conduct yourself through the day.
