The Blackburn Center is a Greensburg-area organization focuses on the prevention of domestic and sexual violence, and services for those affected by either. They offer healthcare organizations in-service training on how to best help patients who are victims of sexual trauma or domestic violence, and the resources available to them.

We will certainly enounter these patients on rotations and in practice; it is important that we as physicians have the background in how to care for these patients in mind, body, and spirit. This educational session will complement topics touched on during our Human Sexuality course.

Mae Palacios, a Blackburn Advocate, will hold a 1 hour talk on identifying patients who might be victims and how to help them
